13 Truck Drivers Test Positive for Covid-19, Uganda’s Cases Rise to 139

13 more Truck Drivers have tested positive for Covid-19. All the cases were from 1,741 samples of the drivers tested on Wednesday from the Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe.

According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases include 7 Ugandans, 5 Kenyans and 1 Eritrean who arrived from Tanzania, South Sudan and Kenya via Mutukula, Elegu and Malaba borders.

All 363 samples from the community tested negative for Coronavirus.

A total of 2,104 samples was tested on Wednesday.

Uganda’s cumulative Covid-19 cases now stand at 139. The country has registered 55 recoveries and no death.
