The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has been airlifted to the Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi for further management.
According to the Speaker’s Principal Press Secretary, Sam Obbo, Kadaga has been transferred to Nairobi upon advise by her doctors in Nakasero hospital.
“The Speaker has been transferred upon advise of her doctors for more treatment but she is recupurating and will soon get back to attend to her duties,” Obbo said.
Kadaga was admitted on Thursday after a sudden illness having returned from a 10- day long working visit to Morocco and United States.
Obbo earlier revealed that his boss is currently under hospital management over fatigue-related illness.
“The Speaker was admitted soon after her return from a hectic working tour to Morocco and United States of America; while abroad, she steadfastly advocated for better policies for women and children across the globe,” Obbo said.
Obbo said that due to hectic work schedule, fatigue and jetlag, the Speaker has had to be admitted in hospital.
