Airtel Uganda has announced a 90-day Airtel Money promotion dubbed ‘Sukuma Cash’ during which subscribers sending money within the network will enjoy an up to 60% discount in tariffs.
The reduction applies to sending money.
The new tariffs have been streamlined up-to 60 percent with three prices respectively 100,500 and 1000 across all Brands with immediate effect.
In the promotion, 22 customers and 3 agents will stand a chance to win Shs 500,000 daily upon sending money worth any amount with in the 90-day duration.
In addition 10 subscribers will stand a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to watch the Uganda cranes live at AFCON in Egypt.
According to Airtel managing Director Mr V. G Somasekhar, the promotion is an addition to the convenience and instant solutions the platform offers especially during the Holly month of Ramathan.
“The new tariffs have been streamlined up to 60% with three prices respectively; Shs 100, Shs 500, and Shs 1,000 across all bands effective today,” Andrew Rugamba, the Airtel Uganda Head of Mobile Financial Services said during a news conference on Thursday.
“By lowering the cost of these transactions, and increased number of Ugandans can get access to affordable and basic financial services,” he added.
Rogers Byamukama, the FUFA Club Licensing Committee Chairman thanked Airtel for continuously supporting the Uganda Cranes.
He encouraged all customers to transact with Airtel Money in order to stand a chance to watch the national team live in Egypt.
