BET Award winner and singer Eddy Kenzo has revealed he is releasing a new single titled ‘Bibawo’, a day after news broke that her long-time fiancée, songstress Rema Namakula is set to formally introduce her new lover.

On Saturday, news made rounds on numerous blogs and mainstream media that Rema who has been with Kenzo for almost ten years is seeing a new lover.

The lucky guy is identified as Sebunya Hamza who is said to be a doctor at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Photos of Rema and Hamza were circulated widely on social media on Saturday. Many Ugandans said this was little surprise.

Why? In a recent song released by Rema titled ‘Siri Muyembe’, she indirectly hinted at dumping Kenzo who she says (in the song) is taking too long to wed her.

In the song, Rema likens herself to a mango fruit. Using tactfully pieced lyrics, the revered singer says “I’m not a mango that you are waiting so I can ripen”.

In another line, she warns the lover to take her love serious least he could regret later when she is already taken.

“I decided to stay because of love. Wherever I pass, I leave men dying to have me. I ignore them, yet you are sleeping. Wake up. Don’t cry for me when I am taken,” Rema says in the song.

On Saturday, Kenzo who is currently in Chicago, U.S for the Uganda North America Association (UNAA) annual convention, tweeted what seemed like a response to the news about Rema dumping him.

“Omunaku wakufa yarabi 🙏,” the Sitya Loss singer wrote on Twitter, implying that a poor person stands no chance.

Whereas some of his fans sympathized with him, others blamed him for not wedding Rema yet he has all the wealth to do so.

“That’s what happens when you take someone’s daughter for granted do you even know how many times you have chased her love,” @Pedro_Adamz commented.

But others said everything happens for a reason.

For a long while, Rema’s relationship with Kenzo has been rumored to be on the rocks. Together, they have a child.

On Sunday, Kenzo in another tweet said he will be releasing a song titled ‘Bibawo’ (things happen). The song is due for release today, Sunday, he said. Some of the fans already anticipate the song is in response to Rema’s new ‘situation-ship’

On November 1, 2019, Rema introduces to her a family, her new found love.

According to an invitation card circulating on social media, her introduction ceremony will take place at her parents’ home in Nabbingo, Butaka in Wakiso District at 11:00am.
