Renowned emcee and TV personality, MC Kats, has been fired by the Management at Kololo-based popular hang-out, FAME Lounge, for what the bar says is unbecoming behavior which includes failure to clear his outstanding debts.
FAME Lounge issued a statement saying the Management had tried to contain the conduct of MC Kats but that they have finally considered to cancel their contract with him.
He has been hosting a night dubbed ‘Meet Celebrity Wednesdays’ every Wednesday, and has also been a marketer for the bar.
“MC Kats has been an external marketing personnel at our lounge and a lot has come with working with him,” a statement read in part.
“After much consideration, the gentleman has failed to deliver to the expectation of Management. To be precise, relationship management has been lacking during the short spell of time Mc Kats has been working with us”.
They say the NBS Tv presenter and ex-lover of songstress Fille has persistently taken stock on credit and refused to clear the bills. He is also accused of demeaning the staffers that manage the bar with phrases like “I only fear God”.
In addition he is faulted for openly insulting and belittling patrons at FAME Lounge whenever he is on stage “yet the patrons are the reason we exist”
The hangout has also dismissed claims that MC Kats has helped boost their sales on the nights he hosts there.
“MC Kats has never made any sales on his nights that equal to even 3 million as he claims, and he is the same gentleman for whose services FAME pays 1.5 million Shillings every show which most times exceeds 2 million Shillings inclusive of unpaid bills”.
FAME says its brand is bigger than MC Kats and that it cannot take any more of MC Kat’s ridicule.
The bar apologized to its clients assuring them “there are bigger things coming”.
