The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen Kale Kayihura has made a reshuffle with some officers transferred to new postings. This is contained in an internal memo circulated to Directors, Regional Police Commanders (RPCs) and District Police Commanders (DPCs) across the country.
The memo dated November 8 by the IGP states that the changes take immediate effect.
Those affected by the reshuffle include Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Paul Kakamba who has been on a training course in Bwebajja and has been made RPC for Kidepo region. SSP Peter Nkulega who has also been on course will move to North Kyoga as the new RPC.
SSP John Etamu has been transferred from North Kyoga to the Police Professional Standards Unit (PSU) in the Pending Investigations unit.
Others include SSP Bob Kagarura who moves from the Logistics and Engineering Department to be the RPC for Sezibwa.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Joel Tubanone has been transferred from Lira to the PSU Pending Investigations while SP Musimenta Rutagira is the new DPC for Namatumba, from his previous posting in Bulisa.
SP Tom Eyaku has been moved from Maracha to the PSU Pending Investigations and SP George Obua to Kayunga as DPC from his training course.
SP Emmanuel Mafundo who was previously in Mityana is now DPC for Lira district while SP John Bosco Serunjogi who has been on course has replaced SP Mafundo.
From his training course, SP Aron has been posted to Buliisa as the new DPC.
