The deputy commander for Tourism Police, ACP Paul Nkore has been appointed as the Regional Police Commander for Kiira in the latest changes effected within the Police by IGP Okoth Ochola.
IGP Ochola announced the reshuffle in a communiqué released on Monday.
This is a reinstatement for ACP Nkore in the position of Regional Police Commander following his deployment in September last year when as the Kigezi Regional Police Commander, he was accused of meddling in elections in the new district of Rukiga.
Victoria Atukunda Abigail who lost in the Rukiga woman MP primary elections told President Yoweri Museveni that Nkore had connived , while in the meeting at State House, reported to President Yoweri Museveni that police in the Kigezi sub region had connived with her opponent Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi and arrested all her agents.
Shortly after, he was transferred and given another assignment in the Human Resource Directorate of the Police.
Other officers affected by the changes include Senior Superintendent of Police, Dan Byaruhanga who has been moved from Police headquarters to Kigezi as Deputy Regional Police Commander.
SP Vincent Irama has been transferred from Luuka to Jinja Central as DPC while ASP Swagiya Nabunya has been appointed OC Station Mbale.
ASP Irene Ochieng has been moved from Moroto to Nabilatuk as OC station while SSP Joseph Kato who has been in Kigezi now goes to Albertine as Deputy RPC.
SP Moses Ochieng Sule has been transferred from Human Resources to Kamuli as DPC while Mwine Mukono moves from Kiira Region to Luuka as DPC.
ASP Collins Kyasiimire now moves to Field Force Unit from Kamuli and ASP Saphone Bainemugisha from Forensics to OC station Matete in Sembabule district.
In the same reshuffle, ASP Gilbert Musinguzi has been redeployed to be OC for Lwemiyaga from Tororo to Sembabule as OC Rwemiyaga while
Kenedy Sebagala from Ntungamo to Mt Moroto Region HDTS.
