Artist turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has joined other artists and companies in organizing Online concerts.
With the closure of bars and banning of gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic, many artists and organizations like Club beer, Swangz Avenue, Dr Jose Chameleon, Navio among others have organized online shows/ performances where viewers or fans get access through social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, you Tube, Instagram among others.
The self proclaimed Ghetto gladiator and Fire Base crew head Bobi Wine will prepare and perform an online concert dubbed “Quarantine Special Ensasage Munyumba” to honour mothers around the world.
“Tomorrow is mothers day and we want to make it special in these lockdown times, catch us tomorrow online and let us know if there are any special songs you want us perform for you live” Bobi wine wrote on his Social Media pages.
The concert will be live on all Bobi Wine Social Media handles and will start at exactly 09:00PM EAT on 10th May as artists Nubian Li and others from Fire Base crew will join there boss to Entertaining their fans at a zero fee.
Bobi Wine was banned by the Ugandan government from holding musical concerts for reasons of mixing music and politics a move which he protested.
However with the new trend of Online concerts, this can be an opportunity for the artists though it has less or no monetary value compared to social/ public concerts or events.
