Greenhill Academy has marked its silver jubilee in commemoration of 25 years since the school was established.
The ceremony held on Tuesday and was presided over by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Okello Oryem. It was characterized by a showcase of numerous activities that the students engage in including art, music, dance and drama, technology, entrepreneurship, as well as projects by the numerous clubs.
The Minister toured the different stalls where students explained their exhibitions. The former students of the schools under their Greenhill Old Students Association were also part of the exhibition.
Greenhill Academy started as a private, Christian founded school in 1994 with 35 students and one campus located in Kibuli. The school has now grown to become a regional household name in the education sector with two campuses in Kibuli and Buwaate and; over 5000 students in the Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections.
The Kibuli campus which occupies 7 acres on its original site constitutes of the Secondary, Primary and Nursery sections.
There is also the Nursery and Primary section in Buwaate which began operation in 2012.
