Frank Tumwebaze has Tuesday handed over the office of Minister of ICT and National Guidance to his successor, Judith Nabakooba.
The handover was held at the Ministry’s headquarters along Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala. The event was also attended by
Peter Ogwang, the new State Minister for ICT as well as the Permanent Secretary of ICT, Vincent Bagiire.
During the recent reshuffle in Cabinet, President Museveni posted Tumwebaze to the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
In his remarks, Tumwebaze urged the new leadership to ensure all government Departments, Ministries and Agencies appreciate the importance of going online. He also added that this comes with cyber threats and thus cyber security should be prioritized.

“It was great moment to handover to friends & comrades I respect & approve of their competencies. Once again, I thank God for having enabled me to do my part of work in the last three and a half years . I thank H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for giving me the opportunity to serve our country,” Tumwebaze said in a statement.
