The senior Pastor of Worship House in Nansana, Pastor Wilson Bugembe is set to host President Yoweri Museveni at the 2019 Worship Night this Friday.
The Worship Night is dubbed ‘Jesus Worship Night – A night of Healing’.
Addressing reporters at the church in Nansana, Wakiso district on Thursday, Pastor Bugembe who is also a renowned gospel musician said that all preparations have been made for a glorious night of worshiping God and prayer.
Bugembe said that unlike the previous Worship Nights that have been held in the different sports grounds in the country, this one will be hosted at the church premises in Nansana.
At least 30,000 people are anticipated to grace the event.
Bugembe noted that a number of pastors, dignitaries, politicians, musicians, believers and non-believers have all been invited to attend the night he says will change lives.
“We have invited President Museveni to attend and we expect him to be part of this year’s worship night. The President should come and witness the change that has taken place in Nansana, an area that was dominated by witchcraft, murders, robbery and all kind of hooliganism,” Bugembe said.
“It has been by the help of God that the area has so far changed and the youths who were notorious have turned to God and are living productive lives”.
He observed however that the event and church doors are open to all people including politicians of different colors.
The singer also revealed that a lot of musicians have been lined up to grace the event including the East Africa’s Got Talent 2019 winners, Ezekiel and Ester Mutesasila, a team of South Koreans who sing Luganda as well as other teams from Norway and Nigeria.
On the part of security, the Police Officer in Charge (OC), Nansana Police Station, Michael Tayebwa said Police will deploy enough security to safeguard worshipers and property.
“We shall deploy enough security accordingly, the KMP Northern Region, the RPC and the DPC will all be around to ensure that the event goes on successfully,” Tayebwa said.
