The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca, Rebbeca Kadaga has Friday morning been admitted at Nakasero Hospital after a sudden illness.
According to the Speaker’s Principal Press Secretary, Sam Obbo, Kadaga fell sick upon return after a 10-day working visit to Morocco and the United States.
“She was admitted at Nakasero hospital because of fatigue. That is what doctors are managing,” Obbo said in the statement.
“The Speaker is currently being managed by doctors at Nakasero hospital over fatigue related illnesses. She was admitted yesterday soon after her return from a hectic work tour,” Obbo added.
Sources have however revealed that Kadaga has since been transfered to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further management.
A number of legislators and government officials have since sought access to the Speaker at the hospital but are yet to be allowed by the hospital authorities.
