Uganda has Friday May 29 recorded 12 new Covid-19 cases, raising the country’s count to 329.
A total of 1,928 samples were tested.
According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases include 5 truck drivers who arrived through Elegu border point and seven cases who are contacts to previously confirmed cases.
All were in quarantine at the time of test, the Health Ministry said.
25 foreign truck drivers who tested positive were handed to their countries of origin for treatment.
Uganda has registered 72 recoveries and no Covid-19 related deaths.
