Uganda Registers Third Covid-19 Death

Uganda has Friday registered one Coronavirus death taking the total covid-19 deaths to 3.

According to the Ministry of Health, the deceased is a 67-year-old man of Nigerian origin and a resident of Kisenyi in Kampala.

The Ministry has in a statement said that the deceased had symptoms consistent to Coronavirus which include cough, fever, chest pain and difficulty in breathing .

He sought treatment from a private clinic and later went to Kiruddu Referral Hospital where he was admitted and samples were taken off.

The Health Ministry says he died on Wednesday July 29, 2020 and that 15 people who are said to have come in contact with the deceased are being traced.

Additionally, results from tests done on Thursday July 2020 confirmed 7 cases raising Uganda’s covid-19 tally to 1,154.

Of the 7 new cases, 2 are truck drivers, 3 are alerts while 2 are contacts of the previous confirmed cases.
